NSS

National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS, was launchedin Gandhi's birth-centenary year 1969. NSS is a permanent youthprogramme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports,Government of India and funded by Government of West Bengaland Government of India in the ratio 5:7. The overall objective ofNational Service Scheme is Educational and PersonalityDevelopment through community service.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of the college has contributed immensely through volunteering in community education programmes, creating awareness drives, teaching underprivileged children and in many other ways. The B. B. College NSS unit is very actively involved in the service of the underprivileged sections of society. It aims at inculcating human values, the dignity of labour, self-confidence, and discipline among the volunteers.
